- MISS PHILIPPINES, the pageant which conducts a search for “a true Filipina beauty who cares for and helps in the preservation of our environment” is the only truly nationwide beauty competition in the Philippines today. To attract the prettiest and most qualified young ladies from all over the country, Carousel Productions, through its network of regional franchise holders, organizes beauty contests in 12 regions all over the country. The winners of these regional contests compete with the 12 National Capital Region candidates (who in turn have been screened and selected from more than 100 aspirants) in the national pageant.
