About Miriam Gayle
"Make up and skin care is the career which brought me the idea of creams for the skin of silk for the U.S. and Canada market on a visit to China several years ago. "My stage background had been with the Philadelphia Symphony, the New Orleans Opera and a Toronto TV program. I taught makeup at the Barbizon School and did make up for several celebrity entertainers and a lot of Broadway Summer Stock. I developed techniques and materials that are a part of our company now.", Miriam Gayle, The New Silk Road's product originator explained in an interview recently.
Our laboratory in the booming Shanghai area which has steadily grown in size and volume over the years of our association employs local people some of who have been here for several years. These people enjoy all local and national holidays, a 5-day work week and 8 to 10 hours a day depending on orders at the time. Our employees receive wages or salaries equal to or better than provincial standards. Medical care is provided for all. They have lunch break and tea breaks. In Montreal, Canada our partner and laboratory are Quebec and Canadian citizens with facilities in areas of Montreal's "South Shore". They are professionals who have been involved in cosmetics, skin care and spa and salon unique materials and products for many years. This company is a contractor to one of the world's most cherished names in cosmetics.
