About Minnesota Trapline Products
Minnesota Trapline Products was founded in October of 1978 by Tim and Nancy Caven. MTP has grown over the past 28 years to be the single largest direct retail mail order trapping supply company in the world. Minnesota Trapline Products branched out into the manufacturing of specialized heavy duty ("MB" - Minnesota Brand) Trapline equipment in 1994.
In 2000 MTP took over as the sole distributor of Fox Hollow Magnum Animal Lures and Fox Hollow Super Stakes. Bob Young (owner of Fox Hollow) still works with the company developing new products and does extensive field research for MTP. Bob is an innovator whose accomplishments extend well beyond the trapping trade. Bob has invented and patented products for several industries and has been an engine builder for such racing legends as Bill Elliot.
In September 2005, Kyle Kaatz (owner of Kaatz Bros. Lures/editor of Trappers's World magazine) merged his business with MTP and joined our staff. Kyle has trapped in 7 states piling up some huge catches. Kyle has written countless articles for various trapping publications and has authored three books.
