M.I.N News wants to create a forum that helps to create a of form of unity and cohesion within Canada’s Black community. A forum to promote understanding within various components of the Black community in Canada. This community is comprised of various disconnected, divided and divers collection of groups and cliques. Such as African immigrants, Caribbean immigrants, first second or third generation immigrants, Religious, non-religious, Muslim, Christian etcetera. By and large Blacks are powerless and voiceless in the arena of politics and public policy across Canada. M.I.N News seeks to help facilitate positive change. In many respects, Black Canada does have some unity but that unity is in the realm of ideology - thus forming a vague general ideological consensus. Unfortunately when it comes to the nitty gritty details there is no unity in action or direction. Divisions in consensus and ideas can be found between different economic backgrounds, different countries of origin, different religions and different regions within the country. It is our desire help create a forum that will encourage greater unity in both thought and action.
As an information depot M.I.N News gathers a variety of relevant News Stories which are of interest to the Black and other minority communities in and around the Greater Toronto Area.
