Degrees: B.A., and M.S. (Major: Zoology), Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. M.S. Thesis Title: "Relationships of demography and reproductive characteristics of three species of Rana (Amphibia: Anura: Ranidae) in southern Illinois."
(1) Twelve years of experience in field biology (primarily in Illinois, with other considerable experience in Florida, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, and Texas); (2) Over seven years cumulative professional biology/resource management experience; (3) Six semesters teaching as a Graduate Teaching Assistant (SIUC); one trimester as an instructor (Governors State University, University Park, Illinois). (4) Extensive experience teaching workshops and presenting invited seminars.
Amphibian population biology (demography and reproductive ecology); Natural history of North American frogs and toads (especially the genera Hyla and Rana); crayfishes; management philosophies for amphibians and reptiles (especially species introduction/translocation); ecosystem management in urban areas.
