Members of our group use the Midwest Burners' Yahoo Group to chat about Burning Man, plan parties, organize events and expand the overall Burning community.
Midwest Burners is a Burning Man inspired social and recreational association. While we do have formal membership and comply with IRS requirements for tax exemption, we try to keep the bureaucracy and formalities to a minimum. We’re pretty laid back and want to focus on enjoying each other’s creativity.
Founded by Zay in 2003, Midwest Burners progressed from hosting parties and social outings to much larger annual events like HullabalU (our AfterBurn Party) and InterFuse (our Midwest Regional Burn in the Missouri Ozarks). In January 2005, we adopted our Articles of Association, which documents our purpose and intentions.
