Midwest Air Products Co. (Mapco) is your pollution solution when you need to remove and scrub corrosive fumes from an industrial process. Founded in 1979, Mapco first established itself as a leading purveyor of PVC exhaust systems for the metal finishing industry.
Mapco has supplied the U.S. Mint in San Francisco and Philadelphia with PVC ductwork and dry chrome scrubbers designed to comply with chrome emission risk factors of less than 1 in 1 million.
Mapco's Ultra-Mact Chrome Scrubber typically exhausts a concentration of 1 to 2 percent of emissions allowed by Environmental Protection Agency Chromium MACT standards.
Higher quality PVC exhaust systems, fast-track service
Another important element in Mapco’s success is its pride in building exhaust systems and control equipment from heavier gauge materials than competing equipment.
Mapco's scrubber shells are typically two to three times thicker than competing brands. Scrubbers are fabricated from 3/8-inch-thick PVC, with 3/4-inch flanges. Competing brands are usually 1/4-inch thick or less, with 1/4-inch flanges. Even though Mapco uses thicker materials, and enhances its products in other ways, the company's pricing is extremely competitive.
Mapco runs a lean ship. It employs about 20 people, and responds quickly to customer requests.
