Mid-Columbia HFH Home Page

Description

MCHFH is the Mid-Columbia affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. Founded in 2002, we are in a unique situation as we serve two states. We build homes in most of Hood River County in Oregon, and in White Salmon, Bingen, Snowden, Husum and Underwood, Washington. Our office is at the Bethel Congregational Church in White Salmon, Washington.

There are more than 1,400 U.S. affiliates among all 50 states and the District of Columbia. Habitat affiliates are independent, non-profit [501 (c )(3)] organizations comprised of local citizens, and operate with local boards and volunteers. Hundreds of thousands of volunteers provide most of the labor, and faithful individual and corporate donors provide the money and materials to build Habitat houses.

Founded in 1976 by Millard and Linda Fuller and headquartered in Americus, GA, Habitat for Humanity International's work in the United States is accomplished by local affiliates.
