- The academy is open Tuesdays thru Fridays from 2pm to 11pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 1:30pm to 9:30pm. Enjoy informal play in an elegant club room, an extensive library and chess-playing computers. Tournaments are held every week and lessons are available at various levels. We have the best chess shop in Florida. Members include about 25 people with USCF ratings above 2000. Among them are a Grand Master, an International Master, 10 FIDE Masters and 8 USCF Masters. We also have 130 members that cover Class A, B and C, including 50 student players 18 and younger.
