About Us
Menno Singers has been part of the Kitchener-Waterloo choral community since 1955, when Abner Martin founded the choir with an aim to providing Mennonite choristers with opportunities to study and perform sacred choral music. The 60-voice choir has since expanded its repertoire to include secular works, a cappella and accompanied texts, hymns and oratorios.
Co-operative ventures with other choral groups in the area have provided numerous occasions for exciting music making. Menno Singers also sponsors Mennonite Mass Choir, giving the larger choral community an opportunity to perform works such as Handel's Messiah
Menno Singers is a registered non profit organization and is run by several volunteers making up a board of directors and an executive committee. Members of the executive committee are:
