Description
Linda Sexton, a long time credit union member, was approached by a credit union manager and asked for her help in providing electronic tax filing for their members. The statement was made "We must have a company we trust to serve our members". This was in 1991, and we have been continuing to earn that trust over the last nine years.
Speed Filing, Inc. was founded in 1991 by Linda Sexton, Charles West and Richard Harbin. Charles West and Richard Harbin have been partners in Harbin and West PC, CPAs since 1982 and each has over 20 years of experience in accounting and tax. Linda Sexton is an enrolled agent and has been in tax practice since 1974.
Linda Sexton serves as Vice President of Speed Filing, Inc. and is operations manager for Members Tax Service. She is also responsible for Speed Filing Inc. Tax School, Employee Training as well as Public Relations. She is a member of National Association of Enrolled Agents, Alabama Enrolled Agents, and Alabama Association of Accountants. Linda has taught Tax School for 18 years. She served on the Advisory Board for People's Income Tax School for 4 years, and is currently an advisor for Xpress Software. She wrote the Alabama Supplement on Income Tax for People's Income Tax School, Federal and State Tax Training Manuals and Policy and Procedure Manuals for Speed Filing Inc. Linda was chosen by IRS to participate in a panel discussion on E-file at the Atlanta, GA, IRS e-file conference.
