Over 20 years ago the Melville family owned business, Melco, supplied the local Noosa area with timber and builders hardware. A decade ago it became apparent to Keith, John and Mark Melville that if Melco wanted to capture more of the DIY / retail market they needed a recognised retail hardware brand and it was decided to join the largest Australian independent hardware promotional group, Mitre 10.
