Welcome to Medieval Wardrobe, a website that aims to document the history and techniques used in re-creating historically accurate medieval clothing. Every effort is taken to document sources to the best of my ability and to my current knowledge of this subject.
If you have any information you feel would help the Medieval Wardrobe then please contact me. You may also suggest upcoming projects, however due to the nature of this research I may not answer every email, nor may you see your suggested request for many months. I will contact any person who suggests a project upon its completion and documentation.
In September of the year 2003 I happened upon a re-enactment club in my area and became involved in their activities. With very little sewing experience, I decided that my costume and equipment would be made as authentic as I could manage in keeping with our "living history" aims. I began hand sewing and documenting my work towards the end of 2004 after approximately one year devoted mostly to research on medieval living history subjects.
