Thank you for your interest in Medipouch®, a product designed by the Aunt of two food allergy patients. My nephew Travis wanted an auto-injector carrier he could wear around his waist under his clothing. As is the case with most young people, he doesn't want to be different or to be asked a lot of questions. Travis wears his pouch forward for comfort (on his stomach as opposed to his back). He wears the compact pouch normally, and the standard pouch when away for the weekend. My niece Maria, started wearing her pouch at age six. She wears the standard pouch containing one injector, her inhaler and a few pills.
After many changes in design and materials, the pouches became available for sale. The slim design and softness of the material is conducive to wear either under or over one's clothing. The elastic loops on the interior of Medipouch® are to hold the auto-injector securely. They were the recommendation of a friend who has seen young and old alike (Aunts included) panic in stressful situations and lose or destroy medical gear.
To use, secure your EpiPen, Twinject, or Anapen into the elastic loop located inside the pouch. To close your Medipouch®, simply squeeze the hook and loop sides together. For added ease of opening, we've attached a pull loop on each side of the pouch.
