What is the difference between a Theological Seminary and a Divinity School? A Theological Seminary is primarily interested in the academic and theoretical elements of theological education. A Divinity School is primarily interested in the practice of ministry. We are a Divinity School,
not a research institution. We are not a testing ground for preparing candidates for professorships. We are a Divinity School for working adults; people seeking to train for ministry; people seeking to gain additional training and skills for a more effective ministry, and seasoned veterans of Christian ministry who have a desire to continue or expand their ministry education.
