- Ray Maus and a partner started the business in 1982 renting a small shop in what was called the Stonewood Village located in Brookfield, Wisconsin. In 1983, Ray sold his share of the partnership and opened a store in the West Bend area. He has moved his business several times over the years but always stayed in West Bend. This small city had all the charm and character needed to raise his family.
