Description
MasterDigital Corporation was formed by Parker Dinkins in 1991 to provide state-of-the-art audio restoration and CD mastering services in New Orleans.
On August 29, 2004, MasterDigital issued a press release announcing the official opening of a new media facility in New Orleans. Exactly one year later, New Orleans was devastated when floodwalls holding back Lake Pontchartrain failed, flooding 80% of the city. The dedicated media facility housing MasterDigital and other media firms was flooded, and MasterDigital’s highly sophisticated electronic equipment was heavily damaged.
Months later, New Orleans is struggling to get back on its feet, and the US Army Corps of Engineers is attempting to repair the flaws in the Corps-managed levee protection system.
