Tony and I have been married for 51 years and are the parents of 5 children and the grandparents of 11. We have visited 50 countries...have seen the mountain gorillas in Rwanda, camped across the Serenghetti, climbed Mt. Kilamanjaro, rafted down the Yukon River and swam with sea lions in the Galapagos Islands. We have bicycled across the United States and through much of Europe.I have run in 8 marathons and still run 6-8 miles a day.I love to knit, am addicted to crossword puzzles and am an avid bird watcher. I've also been teaching myself Spanish for the last four years.
"When," you ask, "do you ever find time to braid rugs?" My day starts at 4 AM and most days I just can't wait to get up. I love what I do. I'm an artist and I find that designing and creating braided rugs fulfills a need in me. I have been braiding rugs for 40 years, but mostly as a hobby. What rugs I did sell were sold locally through craft shows. Over the last couple of years my website has allowed me to expand my client base nationally. I have sold rugs to people who live as far north as Alaska, as far west as California, and as far south as Florida...and lots of places in between.
"I design and make every rug that I sell."
That's me in my workshop doing what I love to do best. You'll notice there are no braiding machines. That's because all my braided rugs are made by hand.
