Warning: it may be free to use but it cohearse kids to buy Maple Story items which cost actual cash and the items you purchase for the character expire after 60 days. It may seem cheap but after real cash is converted into Nexen cash items cost 1000 times more hence spending more.
IE: $30.00 cash equals 30,000.00 Nexen cash but itmes cost $5000.00 so it adds up pretty darn quick and before you know it you have spent 100`s of dollars to purchase items that expire.
It would be much better if they had a subscriber based user fee, as it seems to take advantage of kids and parents. There are however some ways to get around this, Maplestory has recently added a feature to sell in-game items for NX Cash aswell as supporting several sites were teens can earn themselves NX Cash, Earn NX Cash For MapleStory
