MaltaMedia is an audio-visual production house specialising in multimedia and the Internet platform since 1998. Our major services are webcasting, an award-winning online news service from Malta, and aboutmalta.com - the world's first online guide to everything about the Maltese Islands (formerly known as Grazio's Malta Virtwali). In 2000, MaltaMedia partnered with the Balzan Malta Weather Station to offer a 5-day weather forecast and much more at MaltaWeather.com - Malta's first weather website. The network continued to expand in September 2001 when maltafootball.com was created out of the Maltese Soccer Web Site. In August 2002 the weather coverage was extended through a collaboration with the Nadur Weather Observatory to create GozoWeather.com, and in 2003 EurovisionMalta.com became the newest offering from MMON, providing comprehensive information about Malta's participation in the Eurovision Song Contest organized annually by the European Broadcasting Union.
The MaltaMedia Online Network receives more than 7 million monthly hits and serves over two million pages each month. Since June 1999, and the official launch MaltaMedia's online news service, the network has earned a loyal following from over 30 countries worldwide, and registered a total of more than 312,000 unique visitors during the month of May 2003.
Mainly due to the fact that the MaltaMedia Online News Service is never biased in the tradition of Maltese conventional news sources, we are the news providers for other other media organizations including SBS Radio in Australia, and affiliate websites such as Gozo.com and the ISP Euroweb. We have provided content to Video On Line (Malta), Radio Calypso (102.3FM), and go mobile’s Information On Demand (IOD) service. The MaltaMedia Online Network has had a long-standing relationship with Campus FM (formerly known as Ir-Radju ta' l-Universita') and is also the major content provider for Vodafone's SMSFlash service.
