Mallard Marine Limited is dedicated to the invention, production and marketing of unique marine and marine related products. This is a picture of our 5/16 -1/4" chain cleat that is suitable for all types of vessels. It is constructed of 316 SS.. This unique cleat provides a reliable and efficient fitting to secure anchor chain on the deck of a vessel that does, or does not, carry an anchor winch. The use of the Chain Cleat will remove the load of the anchored vessel from the winch. When hauling an anchor by hand, the use of the Chain Cleat will provide a dedicated place to secure the chain so that the crewman doing the work of hauling can safely and effectively take time out to rest the muscles.
