Title
Glasgow Guesthouse, Glasgow Accomodation - Makerston
Description
Makerston House is an impressive Tudor-style mansion set in landscaped grounds in Paisley's most elegant suburb. The 3-Star accommodation is comfortable yet relaxed - and as for food & drink, Allan Byars' culinary skills have earned Makerston House the coveted Taste of Scotland award.
Built in 1905 for the thread merchant James Miller, Makerston House reflects life on the grand scale as enjoyed by those wealthy Edwardian magnates. Later it was sold to J&P Coats, whose weavers had made the name of Paisley synonymous with the intricate feathered pattern, and was used as business accommodation by Coats Viyella for many years.
The combination of the elegant façade, the friendly atmosphere and quality of service will make you feel immediately at home at Makerston House. Click the links below to see a little more.
