In 1946, Joseph Vassallo, a young man, 18 years of age, began a modest business repairing and rewinding electric motors. This company was to be known as Magneto Electric. Magneto Electric became involved in the conversion in Ontario from 25 hertz to 60 hertz. It is now more than 50 years later and that same company, Magneto Electric, is recognized as the leading provider of Electro-mechanical services in Ontario.
