- Founded by two Kansas dog lovers who faced dozens of homeless pit bulls daily that had to be turned away for lack of space and funding, Kansas Pit Bull Rescue was formed to assist pit bull type dogs in high-kill animal control facilities in the Midwest. With significant help from supporters and donors, KPR placed over a hundred needy Pit Bulls into responsible forever homes.
