Omi-Dina was born and raised in Cuba where she was surrounded with spiritualism and the Lucumi religion. As a young child she developed her psychic ability. Through her spiritual guides she was led to her godfather in the Lucumi religion, Ibaé Bayé T'orún Olufan-Dei. She was initiated into the Lucumi religion in 1972. She is Oni-Yemaya. To Omi-Dina, the Lucumi religion is not just a religion, but a way of life.
