Ludus Tours organizes tours and hospitality for global sports and cultural events throughout the world. Some of these events include the 2010 Winter Games in Vancouver, the FIFA 2010 World Cup in South Africa, and San Fermines Festival in Pamplona, Spain. Ludus Tours focuses on individual sports fans as well as various corporate clients and international sports federations.
Description
In 2003, Adam and Jessica Dailey created Ludus Tours, a business focused on fulfilling the needs of travelers and built upon the premise of simply showing people a good time. Since its inception, Ludus has helped thousands of organizations, individuals and families with their specific travel and hospitality needs.
Ludus' growth has been rapid and exciting, with increases in terms of international reputation as well as number of events (and employees). They spent most of 2004 based in Athens, Greece, where they coordinated Olympic tours and assisted over 100 Olympic families during the Athens Summer Olympics. They spent all of 2005 in Torino, Italy, where Ludus hosted over 2,000 clients from 27 different countries during the Turin Winter Olympics. Ludus also printed its first magazine/guide (Ludus' Turin City Guide) just in time for the Turin 2006 Olympics. More than 30,000 guides were printed and distributed throughout Turin.
As Ludus continues to grow, so does their affiliations. USA Track & Field entered into an exclusive partnership with Ludus Tours in 2007. This enabled Ludus to offer customized track and field packages to athletics enthusiasts and better serve track and field families. This partnership was in effect for the Beijing 2008 Summer Games and will continue into 2009 for the IAAF World Championships in Berlin, Germany. Brooks Running Company was the Official Equipment Sponsor for Ludus Tours in Beijing. Clients and employees received a Brooks’ backpack filled with shirts, hats, and other gifts.
The mission of Ludus Tours is to show people the experience of their lives. Ludus offers tour and hospitality packages to the Vancouver 2010 Winter Games, the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, Running of the Bulls in Pamplona and Oktoberfest in Munich. They offer everything from tours to luxury accommodations and tickets for the world’s biggest events.
In anticipation of the Vancouver 2010 Winter Games, Ludus has been named an Official Sponsor and the Official Tour Provider for USA Luge and the US Bobsled and Skeleton Federation. With this new affiliation, Ludus Tours plans to offer travel packages to the 2011 Luge World Championships in Italy. Ludus is based in Austin, Texas, but currently has an onsite office in Vancouver, British Columbia.
