- We first came to the Loire Valley in Autumn 1997. We had made arrangements to meet a property company, who kindly arranged our accommodation which was a small hotel just below the Chateau in Saumur and overlooking the Loire river. Before we’d even seen any properties that were for sale, we were instantly blown away by the beauty and charm of this elegant little town. We knew this was where we wanted to buy our holiday home, and after being shown several properties, signed immediately, and bought our holiday home in a small village on the edge of the forest called Parcay les Pins, just 2 mins drive from Domaine des Vignes.
