The Logo Wars Evolution
A brief history on how Logo Wars derived and developed into a unique website service for business operators. Logo Wars was an innovative creation developed by the Logo Wars team of web programming professionals. As long time webmasters who had continuous troubles finding the right graphic designer to create our logo's, headers and other web images on a quick as-needed basis. We used all the popular services online and also through directly hired graphic design firms, and found we were barely ever satisfied with the results for the money invested.
After starting a new business recently, we were in need of another logo. We again paid many designers some money and got back some really bad mock-ups. We were paying $200 each for cookie cutter mockups here and there and after 5 of them, $1000 was spent and went down the drain. Running out of options and time, we knew of a forum that was a business hangout that had many good designers on there that were always showing off their web sites. We were in a hurry to get the job done as our business was about to open, but still needing a logo so we could start a design around it. So we went on and posted a contest thread at the forum. We gave out a nice $300 prize guaranteed to one designer of our choice. To our surprise, we received over 30 submissions from designers that hit the forums. 30 mockups and not only that, we also found the logo we loved and even a few more awesome ones we had to pass up on. Our idea was totally worth the money and then some. We continued to frequent the boards to see that, now there have been over 10 more contest threads going on, within that same week. Others have seen the success we have had, and cashed in on the opportunity itself. At that point we instantly knew we were on to something, hence a few days later, Logo Wars was born. A site to help others get the service we have found to be so amazing. With the protection for both webmasters and designers to boost. Something the forums will not be able to offer!
