- Welcome to L.L.Weans Educational Products Ltd.. In 1960, after years of selling educational products to school districts, Louis and Gertrude Lepler founded L.L.Weans in their Massapequa garage serving Long Island's growing schools with products designed to enrich education. A decade later, Allan Lepler joined his parents' business opening a small retail outlet catering directly to teachers. In 1992, Michelle and Allan Lepler restructured the company developing both a large store on Farmingdale's popular Rte. 110 and in-house programs for parents and educators. In 2004 L.L.Weans moved to it's current home (Long Island's largest Educational Store) in the Airport Plaza Shopping Center, off Route 110 in Farmingdale. L.L.Weans' programming division offers special workshops that help boys and girls scouts earn badges and pins and pre-school and day care teachers and staff gain credit hours towards the New York State's early education requirements. As a family business, L.L.Weans has come to mean educational products and programming to Long Island's teachers, parents, students, and communities. Forty-five years later, L.L.Weans is much more than an education product store, with active and growing internet, catalog, and office products divisions.
