Description
Peter and his family moved to Australia in1988 and ten years later Peter applied his skills as a tool maker to the art of making miniatures.
Peter displayed his work for the first time in 1999 at the "Brisbane Miniature Enthusiasts Show" and was greeted with an overwhelming response from the public which made him decide to turn his part time hobby into "Lilliput Miniatures".
Each piece that Peter makes is handcrafted from carefully selected hardwoods, primarily Tasmanian oak, Victorian ash and Beech. Each piece is stained and hand oiled to achieve an authentic finish. The authenticity of design and manufacture is due to meticulous research of furniture from the Tudor, Medieval and Elizabethan periods.
