To conduct research, compile and publish information concerning art, literature, and ideas, including, but not limited to, ideas about the future;
To provide a medium for the exchange of ideas for the purposes of facilitating transmission exchange and communication of information;
To promote the theory and practice of the principles of good government and good citizenship;
To unite individuals in the bonds of friendship, good fellowship and mutual understanding;
To provide a forum for the full and free discussion of all matters of public interest, partisan politics and sectarian religion alone excepted.
