The Legacy Audio™ heritage begins in 1983 with Bill Dudleston,an engineering prodigy from the University of Illinois. His passion and desire to advance the field of audio were combined with the talents of a stubborn Dutch craftsman, Jacob Albright. In a garage amidst the corn fields of the Midwest, Bill and Jake created the renowned Legacy-1. Refined over the years, the Legacy-1 is now affectionately known as the "Classic" and remains a favorite among audiophiles and critics worldwide. The partners were successful with their absolute commitment to customer service, quality craftsmanship and performance.
As word spread about Legacy Audio™, a new facility was needed to meet the increasing demand for loudspeakers. A new 15,000 Square foot facility was constructed in 1992 to accommodate the production of the Legacy "FOCUS". The revolutionary FOCUS is truly one of the most successful premium audio products of our time with demand growing for over 9 consecutive years. In 2001, the FOCUS was refined to provide even greater performance and earned a new title of "FOCUS 20/20".
