Le Xuan Nhuan is a Vietnamese-American writer. His pen-names are: Thanh-Thanh (poetry), Kieu Ngoc (prose), Nguyet Cam (drama), Nguoi Tho (critique), Tu Ngong (satire), Le Chan-Nhan and Duc Co LE (research), etc. He leads the "Xay-Dung" literary group that was recognized, owing to his outstanding literary works and activities, as one of the main branches of the Vietnam Cultural Tree, by the unique pre-1975 National Cultural Festival in Saigon, capital of the former Republic of Vietnam, in the late 1950s. After his resettlement in the States in 1992, he has begun to write in English, contributed to some 30 anthologies of poetry, published "Poems by Selected Vietnamese," a collection of over 100 rhymed pieces he translated from originals by 55 authors living in USA, Canada, Australia, France, Belgium, Germany, Norway, and Vietnam. He simultaneously published his Vietnamese works: "Con Ac-Mong" (The Nightmare), poems written while imprisoned by the Communists for more than 12 years; "Ve Vung Chien-Tuyen" (Back to the Front Line), memoirs; "Canh-Sat-Hoa, Quoc-Sach Yeu-Tu cua Viet-Nam Cong-Hoa" (The Police Plan, an Aborted National Policy of the Republic of Vietnam), memoirs; these two books reveal the untold factors that add to the basic reasons why the US-backed R-VN so easily and quickly fell in 1975. Le Xuan Nhuan is a member of PEN Center USA.
