Description
We started the Long Beach / Orange County Chapter in 2000. We wanted to be able to bring the PAMA organization closer to the workforce in the heart of Southern California. Our local founders are Marc McCune and Vic Saienni. Although Vic is no longer with us, we have managed to maintain our membership. We started the meetings at the Orange Coast College near the John Wayne Airport. Due to a high volume of Long Beach members and the inability to eat at the school...we found a great new location at the Long Beach Airport.
Airflite, Inc has been more than generous to offer us their third floor conference facilities for our meetings. The location offers plenty of presentation space as well as a friendly eating environment to enjoy our snacks that our provided by our sponsors and a great view of the airport. We encourage any local members to attend our meetings and painlessly earn your hours required for your IA renewal. It only takes 8-meetings a year to meet the requirements. The meetings are a great networking opportunity that will also give you insight on local goings-on and information that would impress any employer.
The purpose of the Professional Aviation Maintenance Association is to promote a high degree of professionalism among aviation maintenance personnel to foster and improve their methods, skills, and learning achievement in the field of Aviation Maintenance:
