It was in 1960's, Carlos R. Araneta, responding to the market movements, revolutionized and introduced the Time-Sensitive Service principle in the forwarding business. Since then, LBC Air Cargo was the Filipino households' by-word for dependable 24-hour air cargo delivery service in the country offering courier service and money remittance anywhere in the Philippines. It was during this time that LBC Air Cargo started expanding and increasing its Branches from the initial 13 to the current 589 receiving outlets called Airposts and still growing, practically covering every city and municipality in the country. Manned by the company's foremost asset totaling to almost three thousand multi-skilled and fully empowered Customer Associates Nationwide whose mind-set is impressed on its Core Values. Its Local network has become considerably extensive and unmatched by any local courier or forwarder then and now.

Consequently, LBC established its first overseas office in the North America, particularly in San Francisco, California in 1985. Several years later, a branch was opened in Vancouver, Canada. Today, over 60 branches were strategically set-up in the USA. The Asian set-up was primarily established in Hong Kong. Presently, there are four strategically able branches operating in the key cities of Hong Kong and branching out to eight other offices in Asian countries. Meanwhile the European office was set up in Madrid, Spain. LBC's overseas network now spans to 76 branches, reinforced by LBC Authorized Agents, located in different continents and in countries where there are many Filipinos to serve.

In 1988 the company's concern focused on timed commitment regardless of the mode of forwarding. Thus from LBC Air Cargo Inc. the company's name was changed to LBC Express Inc. in defining its modernized operations. LBC Express Inc. by this time utilizes sea, air and land transports. Expansion has been inevitable where the company required corresponding increase in manpower specializing in certain aspects of the corporate operations. Giving birth to the LBC Group of Companies in the 1990's.
