Weekend Concepts, Inc. has been a pioneer in billet lighting systems since the introduction of the Lazer Star "Bullet" Billet Light in 1993. Lazer Star Billet Lights are the pinnacle of small, attractive, functional lighting systems for the Harley-Davidson and cruiser motorcycles, along with ATV's, Sand Rails, and Street Rods. Lazer Star Billet Lights have set the standard to which many have tried to imitate, but none can duplicate. Lazer Star products are manufactured in our facility in Anaheim, California, then packaged and shipped to points all over the world. The original Bullet, for instance, has been upgraded and improved many times since its introduction, with the latest being the development of LED technology. The Shorty, Micro B and XS designs have all developed from the original Bullet design and are constantly improved on. All our lamps, halogen and LED are specifically manufactured to our specifications, including our 100 watt spot lamp, which was designed exclusively for us.
In November 1992, our former parent company, NC Dynamics happened upon a projector type lamp that we thought would work on sand rails. The lamp was put in a crude fixture and tie-wrapped to the front of a sand rail for testing. The lamp performed beyond expectations. Shortly after the first testing sessions NCDI designed what is now known as the Bullet style.
In the early 90's diversification became the buzzword in business. In June 1993, NCDI decided to form the Weekend Concepts division to manufacture and market Lazer Star Billet Lights. Production was started with a small number Bullet assemblies, a magazine advertisement, a small desk in NCDI's accounting office, and 4x8 workbench in the corner of the machine shop. This project was placed in the hands of now VP Ron Scott. By June 1998, business had increased to the point that the staff had grown, and Ron's sister Suzi joined the staff as sales manager. In 2003, our 10th Anniversary, Weekend Concepts broke off from NCDI, moved into a new facility in Anaheim, CA and now Weekend Concepts, Inc. is owned and operated by the Scott Family.
