I have retired from my 15-year career as an herbalist and naturopath. I still love to work with natural medicines in my spare time, for myself and my family. I also love to read about herbalism; powerful plants have given so much to mankind over the millennia. I delight in books which slip in herbalism as a natural part of character and plot. Among my favorites are the Brother Cadfael mysteries by Ellis Peters. They're a comforting re-read on a regular basis, and I always pick up a few new details each time.
