- LAwritersgroup.com runs writers groups throughout the Los Angeles area. Out groups runs in eight week cycles with a few weeks off between each session, allowing for four sessions per year. Each meeting consists of one 'warm-up' writing exercise and two more in-depth writing exercises that are read aloud. We have a no disclaimers policy, so no 'this really sucks' prefaces before reading your piece. Often times we find that a writer may not see any value in his/her writing but the other group members will. There is also an opportunity to bring and read material for critique if anyone feels the urge. We are open to writers of all levels and genres. We are currently signing people up for our writers group, so hop on over to our webiste, fill out the form to get on the list!
