Koo Schadler graduated from Tufts University in 1984 with a BA in Art History. After graduating she traveled throughout Europe and eventually settled in Florence, Italy where she pursued art history and painting studies. On returning to the states in 1986 she moved to California where she was introduced to egg tempera through artist Chester Arnold at the College of Marin. In the 90's Koo returned east and settled in a small town in Southern New Hampshire.
