You might say sewing is in my blood. My great-grandmothers were Mennonites and I sleep under one of their beautiful quilts. Their sewing traditions have carried on generation after generation. I took up the needle when I was four and began machine sewing at ten. By the time I was in junior high, I was sewing many of my clothes. By my twenties, I was making almost all of my clothes.
