Kilifihouse Ltd is also the manufacturer of a unique product called Bik-Baks which are practical household products, made from recycled wood and metal. There is an outlet in Nairobi and is available in some local shops. You can contact the outlet on 
“Kilifihouse” began as a cottage industry, to make a Kenyan product in recycled wood. KVM (Kenya Vehicle Manufacturers) wanted to recycle their incoming waste crate wood arriving with vehicle kits. After many tries, KVM developed a contracting group who operate independently on their Thika premises. They make our frames, which we adorn with the kikoi fabric of Kenya, in all shapes and sizes. Enterprising families took on the stitching of this product as an income creation project in 1996. In 2002, with the business growing, a second branch was initiated in Nairobi. These items are used in the home for all kinds of storeage: From laundry holders to hair-clips, jewellery to desk items and more. CD’s and bathroom caddy’s, magazines and toys. Anywhere you need a tidy-up! as the name taken from “Knick-Knack” suggests, just use a “Bik-Bak”
