To accomplish this we have designed a powerful database driven website with interactive features that not only assists parents in getting in touch with you, their providers of child related goods and services, but that also promotes a feeling of community by allowing parents to interact with one another through our website. Second, we aim to provide your child related business and/or service with a powerful advertising medium that will help you get optimum value from your advertising dollar. By combining the strength of our dynamic website with an intense marketing campaign, we will provide you and your business with a service that achieves just that, great value for your advertising dollar.
Kids In Victoria Online Inc. was founded by a 9 year resident of Victoria, Justin Prostebby. Justin grew up in Edmonton, Alberta, and moved out to Victoria to get away from the cold winters, while finishing up his University Degree. He attended both Camosun College and University of Victoria, and graduated in 1999 with an Honours Degree in Philosophy.
Although Justin has no children of his own, the idea for Kids In Victoria was inspired by the ever-increasing amount of children among his group of friends. Being part of the 'rapidly approaching 30' age group, Justin realized that more and more of his friends were staring to have children and begin their families. He also happened to be of that age where the birth of the web had a profound impact on his life, the lives of the people around him, and ultimately the lives of most people alive today. The combination of these events in his life sparked the inspiration for an online parenting resource serving the needs of parents in a localized area.
