- Keith Gorton Services was founded in 1972 as a consequence of the consultancy activities of Keith Gorton, the then Head of Marketing at Humberside College of Higher Education (now known as the University of Lincolnshire). Keith left academia in 1982 to concentrate exclusively on the market research aspects of his clients. Keith Gorton Services was born and has since then been based in his home town, the coastal town of Hornsea in the East Riding of Yorkshire.
