When the University of Kent opened in 1965, the Football team only played in the Universities Athletic Union League/Tournament against other Universities.
Mike Wilkins became the coach in 1972 and immediately entered three teams in the Canterbury & District Football league. The teams were very successful and won over twenty trophies. However, Mike thought the teams needed a new challenge and eventually entered them into the Kent Nuclear leagues (Kent Amateur League). The Club has had success winning the Cup and coming runners up in the past. The Club is also very proud to have twice won the ‘Fair Play’ Award.
