- In 1966, Ernest Kennard began his real estate career in southern Ohio as a salesman. In 1970, he earned his Ohio broker’s license and soon established Kennard Realty, which specialized in residential sales. Shortly thereafter Mr. Kennard became licensed in the bordering state of Kentucky thereby vastly expanding the reach of this concern. Popular and active in the business community, he served as Secretary and Treasurer of the Board of Realtors, a member of the Board of Directors for fourteen years and in 1977, he was elected President of the Board and served four consecutive terms.
