Kempner.net is the personal web site of Joshua Kempner. A little bit of history: I grew up in the Boston area, then went to Ohio for college. I then headed to Virginia for grad school, where I met my wife Maria. After that, I spent two years as a postdoc in the High Energy Astrophysics Division of the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics in Cambridge, MA before going to Bowdoin College as a visiting professor in the Physics & Astronomy Department.
