- I finished my book on dreams this morning, the one inspired by C.G. Jung’s theories, and as I read the last few chapters, which discussed the various categories that dreams fall into, I felt such a sense of loss and longing that I was overwhelmed. So, I closed the book, and said to God I said, “God? I don’t know what or who you are anymore. I don’t know if I’m talking to dead air, or myself, or an all-encompassing, impersonal power of the universe, or all of that but one who is also paying keen attention to me. But if you’re listening, if you love me, or if you at all even care, then I beg you to help me, because it’s just me floating around out here. It would be much nicer if it could be me and you. I’m just saying.”
