- Kara Collier-Ibañez was born and raised in New York City, the daughter of influential artists, with an eclectic background (Afro-Cuban-German-Huguenot). She has studied photography at M.S.D., the University of Colorado, Boulder and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Hunter College, N.Y. She went on to pursue her degree in Fashion Design from the famous Fashion Institute of Technology, in New York City. She worked as a freelance writer and reporter for Theword.com, focusing on editorial commentaries. In 2001 Tony Greco & Ass., Inc. hired Kara to do the photography for an ongoing series of book covers. Now she is a freelance photographer within the area of Fashion and Lifestyle, and is currently residing in sexy New York City.
