A number of years ago I built my first website, www.rrsp.org. I couldn't understand why it wasn't first place in the search engines for the keyword "rrsp" after I had registered it with them. Since then I have learned how to build a website that was "search engine friendly". Today it is rare that this site isn't the first site on the first page of just about every search engine and directory on the net. Just for the fun of it go to your favourite search engine and do a search on "rrsp".
I soon discovered that getting a website ranked high with the search engines was a much sought after skill. People were seeking me out to build their website so as to get similar results with keywords that were important to them.
One of the most frustrating things about building websites was that when it came time to register a domain name or upload a site to the internet, each client had their own domain registrar and their own host each requiring different user names, passwords and methods of access.
