We believe it is important for our customers to know a little about who we are. The internet is a great place to locate information and products but most often lacks the personal touch many of us have come to know with conventional business. We strive to make your internet visit with K-9 Power Products the best it can be, with great products and the customer service you deserve. We are not simply a distributor of canine products but are first and foremost working dog enthusiasts, consistently training and titling our dogs. We operate a small USA registered working German Shepherd Dog kennel, von der Hirschwiese.
My interest in the German Shepherd Dog began in 1976 while training my first Police Service K-9, "Blackjack" from puppy hood to certification and lastly attaining N.A.P.W.D.A. certification with "Bocephus" in 1993. After many years of training, handling and certifying police service and detector dogs, my interest in the sport of Schutzhund grew and has ultimately evolved into a full time hobby.
We are members of and train with the Ocean State Schutzhund Club and have competed in many working trials, including Regional and National level events. In 1996, with my dog Nic de Zennevallei, we placed 1st in the New England Regional Schutzhund III Championship (291V) with a High in Trial, High in Obedience and High in Tracking. Also, that year we ranked 6th overall in the U.S. and were chosen to represent United Schutzhund Clubs of America in the American Working Dog Federation Championships. In 1999, we received the USA Gold Sports Medal.
